The POE box is designed for outdoors if you have no options to protect the standard POE adapter from rain. In this case, the BERGHOCH POE Box replaces the POE adapter on the surveillance camera, which separates the data and power from the network cable and feeds it into the surveillance camera. The maximum power supply is 24 volts, the minimum you need 12 volts for a camera.
